Jacqueline Kennedy’s grandson is condemning President Donald Trump’s ongoing renovations of the White House.

“My grandmother saw America in full color — Trump sees black and white,” Jack Schlossberg wrote on Instagram on Thursday, October 23. “Where she planted flowers, he poured concrete.”

“She brought life to the White House, because our landmarks should inspire and grow with our country,”  the 32-year-old continued. “Her Rose Garden is gone, but the spirit of the Kennedy White House lives on — in the young at heart, the strong in spirit, and in a new generation answering the call to service.”

“History is watching,”  Schlossberg, 32, added.

In his post, he shared an old photo of the White House Rose Garden — which both his grandmother and Melania Trump helped spruce up during their times as First Lady — next to a shot of a bulldozer and gravel in the same spot.

This summer, President Trump, 79, added pavers to the grassy area, which he now calls the “Rose Garden Club,” but the New York Times notes that the rose buses are still there.

However, the fate of the Jacqueline Kennedy Garden — which is situated near the now-demolished East Wing of the White House — is unclear.

The area is currently under construction, with plans to add a grand ballroom.

Kennedy spearheaded restoration of the East Garden when she became First Lady in 1960, but it wasn’t finished until 1965, when her successor, Lady Bird Johnson named it the Jacqueline Kennedy Garden.
