The report discussed the success of the Spring and Summer shows, monthly meetings and a visit to Exbury Gardens.

Members were also informed of the club’s financial status.

After the business part of the meeting, a seed swap took place.

Pam Chamberlain, the club secretary, gave a talk on espalier growing, an ancient horticultural practice used to control the growth of woody plants for fruit production.

The club made an appeal for more members to join the planning group and for a new treasurer.

The next meeting is scheduled for Monday, November 3, at 7.30pm, in the St. Catharines Church Hall, Lewens Lane, opposite the Quarterjack Surgery in Wimborne.

Rosemary Legrand is set to share her travel experiences in Japan during the spring, when the country is in full blossom.

The club has extended an invitation to all interested individuals.
