I am so ridiculously proud of this strawberry that evaded the birds and my toddler’s notice.

    That’s one evasive strawberry!

I bet it’s the best tasting strawb in the world

I don’t know how they missed that one, beautiful! My whole garden got taken by rats this year, at the very end of the season I got some produce baggies to protect what’s left. We live and we learn.

Ooft that’s a beauty! I hope you plucked it before it was stolen away. Have you tried that trick of painting a bunch of small rocks red then placing them under the strawberry plants? It’s meant to be a decoy.

Lucky! Between the birds and my toddlers, only the small ones that went unnoticed made it.

I’ve heard that some people place red-painted rocks around their strawberry beds, which may trick and deter birds. But I don’t know if that actually works.
