Laura and Aaron, even though you have leaves on the ground, just makes your yard landscape that much beautiful and colorful. Laura, you are right don’t pull out those annuals because they are simply blooming into their glorious colors. I always enjoy seeing your pond area. Good job, Benjamin making your basket and you keep dribbling that ball Samantha.
Love it x ( u k )
You mentioned you have a box elder tree. Do you get inundated with box elder beetles? Our house gets covered with them! Any advice on how to get rid of them?
😲 How long did Aaron stay in the doghouse for the severe willow pruning. 🌳
They said girl you order Lots from us and you just made a big old order so we're going to send you some goodies.
So you say you don't like balls but you continuously plant bulbs and then you just give them away after they've bloomed?
Laura and Aaron make a wonderful team! Loving that ornamental grass by the pond. So looking forward to the growth in the years coming. Also, Aaron does a fabulous job on the lawn grass! Always learning and receiving great inspiration!
Oh that one willow doesn't look good right now but I know it was for the better of the tree. Love your lawn Aaron it looks so so good!
Just found out Color Blends is located in CT, about 45 minutes from where I live in NJ. They welcome visitors to their gardens in the Spring and Summer. We definitely visit next year.
HI Laura! That's a lot of bulbs you planted, yet you barely made a dent on the entire order! 😄 QUESTION: at some point, do you ever dig up the bulbs or do you leave them in the ground through the end of their life when they are no longer productive after years of blooms?
Hi 👋 Laura “ love the tree thinning episode” I’m like Aaron I love trees 🌲 🌳 shaping tree are the life of your trees
I envy you that lawn Aaron. I know your kids enjoy playing on it!
Thank you Laura, you reminded me I have some snow drops to plant and the rain is coming to the Willamette Valley! I know how Laura feels about pruning trees but as I've gotten older I'm feeling better about heavier pruning. It's a personal preference about the Ash tree? With the rot I would take it out. Your reasons to keep it make sense but…..? Again personal preference. The weeping willows are a lovely tree. Growing up we had two in our backyard and my grandparents had a huge one. I don't think we had bore problems but certainly aphids. I remember mom spraying for them. Of course she wore no protective gear back then. As she worked in the fields as a child and then being the one to handle all the yard work she was exposed to so many chemicals. She developed breast cancer but survived it. She also had skin cancer because back in the day, no sun screen. I'm so impressed with how you prioritize safty. You're an amazing family and everyone is setting such a wonderful example for your kids.
Aaron your great lawn looks SPECTACULAR 🎉
How fortunate that the wind didn't affect Benjamín's shot !! Love it.
Do the kids go to school close to home? What grade are they in?
OK Laura – tell us: how do you REALLY feel about the thinning of the first willow?!?
Great segment from Aaron! His commentary and perspective is always appreciated. And his grass does look amazing! Just ordered some of
That flame grass. Yours looks gorgeous!
That one bulb just couldn't wait to go in the ground it jumped out of your hand!😅
Nice episode!
Beautiful lawn 👌 👏 also it's amazing how confident and comfortable you are making your out segment. Keep it up! 😊
Your entire property is beautiful but that grass is amazing!!!
Absolutely need to thin out trees to allow air flow. I find it reduces the risk of infestation of diseases and sets the tune for a great growth structure. Lawns, well, Im a big lawn buff too, Aaron. Something about getting out on my ride on, putting my head phones on, and solving the worlds problems😄 Trees and lawns looks stunning buddy!💪
Does Colorblend pre-chill their bulbs? If not is it necessary for their tulip bulbs?
Nice job Aaron!
Trees look great Golden rain tree lookalikes good climbing tree for kids and cats
I'm into lawns as well, Aaron. Would you guys be willing to show how you get such a crisp line edge on your lawns.? I cut mine with a hoe to begin with and now keep up with it I use an edge trimmer but mine is not as crisp as yours.
Did you keep all the grindings of the trees. Maybe use it as a mulch?
Bulbs are one of those things that I love when they come up but don’t enjoy the planting process. What about the leaves around the pond, who picks up all of those as they all the ground, Paul?
Love the lawn also
LEUCOJUM BULBS BEWARE! I spent years trying to get rid of leucojums, but they would always come back. They multiply very quickly and soon give very few blooms in comparison to the foliage. Pretty soon the foliage is so vigorous that's all you see for most of the season and then it flops over everything around it. They are a lot of work to dig up and divide for the little bit of flowers you get. I really don't care for them!
👍🌷🪻🙂🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Who knew, Aaron is participating more in Weekly Recaps & now rockin & rollin solo. It's all good. cgzone8
The lawn needs a name it is so magnificent!
Laura, I work at an Albertsons in CA in the produce department and we receive produce in those very crates that you like at 1:25. I suggest you bring a picture in to the produce manager and ask him to save them for you if he gets them in. I took some home myself and love them too! But most of them just got recycled.
It would break my heart if y’all raked or blew all the leaves away. I have to do it at a demonstration garden I work in and I had doing it. So much wildlife rest in those leaves over the winter, not to mention he addition to your soil health! Ok, getting off my soapbox. I love y’all! Happy gardening
AUTUMN blaze look beautiful.
We really enjoyed the Amsterdam Tulip Museum on holiday last year! And while you can't take bulbs through customs they directed me to Colorblends! 🌷🌷🌷 Nice merch they sent you!
A pretty lawn makes all other plants and trees prettier!
I think your coneflowers have asters disease!!
I wouldn’t trust that echinacea. It’s clearly “two-faced”! 😂
I love a nice lacy light tree…the willow looks beautiful and will fill in a lot over the next year.
“And check out that lawn…” lol , love Aaron!
OK, OK, OK third times a charm….do you know which Miscanthus is @ 36:40? Every video and especially garden tours I have a list going of plants I want to check into to. Today's list is definitely Azur Rush geraniums, Leucojum's, miscanthus 'purpurascens' and would love to know about the other miscanthus variety. I can't wait to hopefully see your reaction to the willow 🙂
