Cracked birch tree

Moved into a new home this year with this lovely birch on the property. Noticed this good split nearly all the way up the tree. Seems to be “healed” or at least somewhat, as it is calloused and not fresh and is not leaking any liquid or sap.

But, I am not an arborist.

Tree friends: is my birch okay to maintain regular maintenance or should the whole thing or this trunk be removed?

How does the overall health of this tree look? Should I call a professional?

Any tips for birch care are appreciated.
