All the leaves I've so far on this plant have been shades of green and more matte. This new leaf it a little red and shiny. Any reason for that?

Edit: got it, not a pothos. Does that explain the leaf difference?

It isn’t a pothos. It is a philodendron Brasil.

first, that’s a philodendron. second, could be a number of things (changes in watering, light, nutrient profile), but it’ll keep changing as it fully forms. the final look could be closer to your existing leaves once it grows to size and hardens fully

That’s what the new leaves look like before they harden off.

Philodendron is pothos. That’s how the new leaves can look. I work with plants every day. Looking healthy.
