Mac Lloyd – “Herb Garden” (Double A-Side Single).
New release taken from Mac Lloyd’s fourth coming album “Hold Fast” is double A-side single “Herb Garden,” landing on October 23rd.
This one’s a heavy hitter. It tells the story of watching someone you love navigate a mental health crisis, seen through the eyes of the person trying to hold them up through the darkness. It’s personal, it’s raw, and it’s about one of Mac’s closest friends — someone Mac say’s “we’ve almost lost a couple of times to suicide”.
Speaking on the single, Mac say’s “Writing “Herb Garden” wasn’t easy. It came from a place of deep care, fear, and love — emotions that aren’t easy to sit with, let alone put into music. But I’m incredibly proud of how it turned out. It’s one of those tracks that reminds me why I make music in the first place: to connect, to tell stories, and to shine a bit of light on the hard stuff we don’t always talk about”.
