Hey everyone! 👋 I picked up this Monstera Thai Constellation at Home Depot today for $30. Out of about 20 plants, this was the only one with such intense variegation — almost entirely creamy white with just a few green patches. I honestly didn’t know Thais could get this variegated.
They gave me a small discount since a few leaves have brown spots. I just wanted to ask:
• Is this a true Thai Constellation?
• Is it common for them to be this high in variegation?
• Will it keep putting out leaves like this, or is it likely to revert/burn out?
• Any advice to bring it back to health? It looks a bit stressed.
Thanks in advance! 🌱

It’s absolutely stunning but I’d be worried about its long term survival with so little green. Maybe try to propagate and see if you can get a couple of plants on the go? Good luck, I hope it works out for you!! ❤️
Order some silica. It will help with the overall plant, especially the variegated parts that are white. And I am shocked that they have this plant labeled as a Thai con because it’s giving Albo , but I could be wrong.
It’s a lovely, highly Variegated Thai! It may be tricky to find the right balance of lighting; it’ll need lots of great, bright, indirect light but just watch carefully in case of any burning. With good light, it’ll likely continue to put out similar leaves. I’d repot into a chunky, airy medium that drains easily, in a pot with good drainage. Only upsize the pot if it’s really rootbound. Only water when it’s almost totally dry.
Occasionally there’s an oddball in the Costa Farms crops. I got one last year like that and the leaves were super thick, almost like plastic, with internodal spacing so small I couldn’t make cuttings.
It looks whiter than Thai. In any case, it is incredible. You must take good care of it so that it does not get damaged or leaves that are not very white or very green.

The way the white is streaking and not speckled makes me think this is an albo
make sure to keep her isolated from your other plants for a while! all my home depot plants have had pests
100% a Thai. Not an Albo. Variegated aroid nursery owner here.
Monstera Crème brûlée. These are more expensive than the regular Thai con. It’s absolutely beautiful
Stunning find! Agreeing with the person who said crème brûlée – it’s definitely a Thai con and I’d lean towards that variety of Thai con.
I wouldn’t worry about the lack of green too much – it’s not like every leaf is a full moon with just a tiny speck of green on it. For browning and general care with it being so high variegated: just make absolute sure that it has a lot of light and that the light it has is enough light. If it’s under a growlight I’d give it extra time with it on everyday. I’ve also heard letting them dry out between waterings helps prevent the white from browning as it isn’t inundated with excess moisture (which Thai cons hate anyway).
It might throw out a leaf soon that is mostly green after the shipping hell it’s no doubt had between the nursery and Home Depot. If it does – let it keep the leaf. It will help it with photosynthesis and recovery. If the next leaf after that is less variegated, I’d consider chopping and propping to see if you can bring the original level of variegation back.
Honestly such a stunning find! So jealous!
Edit: fixing my typos and clarifying a couple sentence that were messy lol
