Hello! I got my first non phal over the weekend at a plant convention. This gal is huge and smells incredible 🤩 She has 4 spikes and desperately needs to be repotted. I can’t tell what medium she is currently in because of the amount of roots and pseudo bulbs crammed in the small pot. I know generally it’s not advisable to repot when in bloom but I’m not sure if I should wait? Also what medium is advised for an Oncidium? I was planning on doing a mix of 70% bark and 30% sphagnum moss. Are there any care instructions drastically different from phals that I should be aware of? I am new to Oncidiums so any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!!

They don’t respond well to repotting unless they have new, young roots just developing. They like to be snug in their pots. Don’t repot now
