I’d do a cactus and propagate some succulents in the eyes

  2. baldartistdesign

A wandering dude or Christmas cactus would look neat I think

  3. Stalkerus

Spider plant would provide a nice hair for the skull. 😁

Brain cactus, they’re so cool looking

  5. YoSpiff

I printed that recently. I put a spider plant in it. Seemed appropriate.

An air plant! No soil needed and they can be as small or big as you want. There’s many different types to choose from 🫶🏻

i have one like this! it has a big echeveria in it. i think succulents and stone plants can look kind of like brains, especially if you get a purple one.

additionally, if there isn’t already a hole at the base of the skull for drainage, i would highly recommend grabbing a drill and putting a small one in. (we did and it went fine!)

I use mine as a Halloween candy dish

  9. Chaos_Sauce

I put a bunch of pothos cuttings in my mine. Looks cool and they’re doing really well.

Lithops, or a trailing cactus, or string of beads plant

I have that same one!! Well it’s not a planter but one of our patients made one of these with their 3d laser printer for our office for Halloween and we use it as a candy bowl in our lobby! It’s the exact same one! We get a lot of compliments on it! 🙂

Whatever you choose make sure you don’t plant directly into the pot, I’m fairly certain 3d prints must leech some toxic chemicals into the soil because I had two plants die on me that I planted directly into a 3d printed bulbasaur pot I have. I tried again with a plastic pot as a barrier & the third plant was just fine.

A plant that doesn’t need a ton of water would be best. Mine started to leak after a while since it doesn’t have a seal coat.

I would 100% go with string of pearls, or something similar. I really like the one th0rpe posted 😂

  15. Yajahyaya

String of anything would give it hair.

A close friend gave me one very similar and I have my thimble cactus in it. I have another ready for my brain cactus to arrive

Donkey tail, or those little flapjack Kalanchoe

  18. Satsuki7104

That is a cute planter but is the filament plant safe? My brother makes 3-D printed things and he’s mentioned the differences in the filaments for plant safe filaments and ones that aren’t. Idk the exact details though

I would find little plastic pots that will fit in there and grow a few things you can sap around into it.

  20. sheabae200216

String of pearls would look cool hanging down the sides

I have a similar style one, had my partner drill through the eye and nose sections and put string of hearts through the holes

I also have a different skull (lol) which has a lithops in it 🙂

  22. fallenposters

I’ve got a spider plant growing in mine.

If you have a growlight, Mammillaria Elongata Cristata looks like a brain.

This is one my son 3d printed for a friend the head has holes in it the the vertabra covers and collects the water when it seeps through so it can be emptied after it has been watered. It is held on by 3 magnets. The friend loved it so much and it has a string of hearts in it and the friend said the black cord used to hang it makes it look like it has dreadlocks.

I’ve got to get a skull pot now😆😆
