So what I’m hearing is just let the Mistflower take over my yard?

  12. Nadiam57

HEB has them for $6 and a bunch more Texas natives!

  13. AlmostSentientSarah

They’re on a long journey and were grateful to find you open, like when you come across a Wawa with clean bathrooms *and* slushies to stop the kids from fighting.

    Damn right, you did it.

  14. keepoffthedunes_

I said it in another post I think yesterday:

There’s no such thing as too much blue mistflower.

I’ve been seeing bumblebees napping on them

  18. WildlifeValued

Mistflower is the answer! On the top of my list for spring planting.
Thanks for this post you made my day!

  19. Beestungtoday

Lovely! Amazing! Good job!!! Mist flower came to my garden as volunteers and wow have they spread. They are taking over my blueberries but I cannot bear to pull any out.

Proud of you, proud of *us!* 🫶🏼

YAY! We also have blue and white mistflower. Although our larger butterflies weren’t that interested, I was amazed at the quantity and diversity of smaller butterflies and bees that visited them. I can’t wait to see what happens with them next year. 🦋 🐝

  23. LetterheadHour

Those are monarchs? I have a very large blue mistflower that made itself at home in my mobile Alabama yard and no one seems to like it. I’m so jealous 🙂

  24. zuzi325

Nice! Im sure all those migrating monarchs really appreciate your hard work.

  25. not-a-dislike-button

Damn I knew I should have done mistflower

  26. fitafter40

WOO HOO for you!! I saw your white mistflower and looked to see if it was native to my area and it is but I have never seen it. We have tons of the blue and I love it. I saw more butterflies this year than the last 5 combined.

  27. lekosis

Hell yeah hell yeah mistflower fall bloom let’s GOOOOOO

  28. yogurtchild55

This is so beautiful and now I have a new plant/pack of seeds to purchase! I know its a perennial but does it bloom in the first year like Rudbeckia or does it need a year to establish?

    Again, amazing job!!! 👏

  29. GrittyLordOfChaos

This is awesome. You did a beautiful job.

I’m stoked to find out that even though I’m not in the same zone, I just discovered mistflower is native to my area as well. Can’t wait to plant some. 🦋

  30. EntertainerNo1440
