Heirloom Cayenne Peppers šŸŒ¶ļø

Should I snip the second smaller plant to focus energy/growth on the bigger plant?

There is one baby pepper already. Is it too soon?

Newbie to these peppers. Growing indoors

Snip the smaller one, cut off the early fruit. Normally I wouldn’t say this, but your plant is apparently trying to grow a fruit that will end up quite close to its own size, and that won’t work very well. It also looks like you’re overwatering a little. The soil surface (top inch or so) needs to be almost totally dry before you consider adding more water

Honestly… If a plant has given you a fruit when it’s that small, then it’s already expended a lot of its energy and I’d be tempted to call it a day with it.

It happens, I’ve had it a few times. Just one of those things.

Its so cuteeee! I’ve always cut iff any fruit /veg off this early in so it has time to build a better root system and strength. They use a lot of energy trying to grow anything this early so good luck if it has enough energy left to stay standing!
