    Cotoneaster and *Pyracantha are very closely related and very hard to tell apart from a single image.*

    *but given your UK location I am going to guese Cotoneaster.*

    *Like all pears, apples and there relations. They contain toxic* cyanogenic glycosides in the seeds and often leaves.

    The compounds break down to cyanide

    *You need to eat around 150-300 apple seeds to get poisoned.*

    *cotoneaster contain the same poisoon but the ratio of seed to fruit is so much lower. to get pulp of Juice one might boil or crush a lot of seeds making it way more likely to get poisned from conester.*

    *But if you want to pains takenly de seed it its not likely going to harm you.*
