So I got this pineapple from my grandma and I overwatered it ONCE. now it is rotting and I took off the dead leaves. However I notice that the trunk is rot (black). What should I do ??? I don’t want it dead. It is near a window so it has indirect light all day long. The pot has wholes and the substrate is soft.i watered it once

It’s a bromeliad. It flowered, and made a fruit, now the plant will die. This is inevitable. There are baby plants around the base, continue to treat the plant as usual and those baby plants will eventually mature.
I could be wrong, someone please correct me, but it looks like the main plant has run it course. From what I understand a pineapple plant takes 3 years to fruit if you root it from a fruit top. Once it fruits, you can harvest the fruit and the main plant will die off. Before it dies off, it will produce “pup” plants, in you second picture, we can see two. You can carefully pluck these out and plant them separately; these new plants should give you fruit next year.
And just for the record: overwatering is not a one time event. It’s watering too often, not too much at one time.
