It’s dying and I want to know how to help :(. I water it once a week (sometimes every other week) and it stays outdoors on a balcony with sun

Alocasia cucullata ‘Buddha’s Palm’. Depending on where you live and what the temperature is will determine how much water it will need. It looks under watered to me from the picture with a little bit of sunburn on the leaves as well. While they do like sun they don’t love the hot afternoon sun. They do love water and fertilizer when the temperatures are above 80 but don’t like to sit in water like Colocasia do. So allow the top inch or so to dry out during the summer months. They need to be cut back on watering if it’s fall and starting to get cooler where you live. They can also start to go dormant at or around 60 degree f. They make a really nice house plant but are prone to get spider mites so keep an eye out for that.
