Keep it out of the wind and bury it in snow if you can ,these are good to -20F … It will turn purple when it gets below freezing so don’t panic when that happens

Dig a hole, put the pot in it, fill it around the pot w dirt and/or mulch. Make sure it’s out of the wind and toss some leaves on it. I live in MI and this is the way.

Sweet stock, btw!

You can put it in a sheltered spot away from the wind and it should do fine. Surround the pot with some dried leaves. I live in upstate ny and that’s all I do. They are tough hombres.

Dig a four inch hole. Put it in the hole. Come back in Spring 2026 but I’d give it Spring the year after in 2027 and I’d guide it while it’s in the ground.

Dig a hole on the south side of your house, hopefully in a way location with some coverage for wind, put in hole, fill, mulch heavily, wrap in burlap.
