The Hex Serpent is a pet and one of five pets available in the Ghoul Garden expansion that was added to Grow a Garden on October 18, 2025. How to Get a Hex Serpent in Grow a Garden
Getting the Divine Hex Serpent in Grow a Garden is a little different from how you can get most pets. Instead of buying it from a shop like the Pet Eggs Stall or even the Creepy Critters Shop, you’ll need to do a minigame. The second part of the Ghoul Garden update added a Gravedigger NPC that appears once per two hours near the center of the island.
While they’re here, interact with them to go grave digging for treasure. As you dig up certain objects like coffins or jack-o-lanterns, you’ll get a variety of rewards. Unfortunately, the Hex Serpent has a 2.33% chance of being a reawrd in the Grave Digger minigame.
What Does the Hex Serpent Do in Grow a Garden?
The Hex Serpent has a unique ability that requires a little work first. You’ll have to get a Hex Circle cosmetic from the Devilish Decor shop and then place it in your garden. Afterward, place five single-harvest plants in that Hex Circle and once every 12 minutes, the Hex Serpent will perform a ritual.
This ritual will consume all five plants and then grant you random rewards. Rarer plants and variants will grant better rewards.
