Suspicious Soup is a limited-time gear item that’s part of the expansion to the Ghoul Garden update. You might think it has something to do with cooking, but it’s completely unrelated! There are three different ways to get it:

The Ghoul Garden expansion added a Dead Tree to the center of the island that appears once per eight hours, but sticks around for four hours. During this time, you’ll have to complete three of their tasks for a reward. One of the Dead Tree rewards is an 8.82% chance to get 5 Suspicious Soup. Every two hours a Grave Digger NPC will appear near the center of the island. You can speak with them to participate in a Grave Digging minigame, where you can get a variety of rewards. One of the Grave Digger rewards is a 6.98% chance to get Suspicious Soup. The first part of the Ghoul Garden Update added the Halloween Market that appears once per hour, for 15 minutes. Later on, the expansion added a fourth stall to this market named Ghostly Gadgets. You can buy Suspicious Soup from the Ghostly Gadgets Stall for 8 Candy Corn each. The description for Suspicious Soup in-game is, “The Witch’s signature dish! Doesn’t look too appeasing though…” This Rare gear can show up as a task for the Dead Tree that you’ll have to complete or wait for it to reset if you can’t.

Eating Suspicious Soup can supposedly give you random buffs or debuffs to your character. Such as changing your character size, movement speed, and jump height. From what we’ve been able to learn, the effects don’t seem to last too long. You can get a good buff for 60 seconds or a negative one for 15 seconds.

How to Use Suspicious Soup?

Using Suspicious Soup simply requires selecting it either from your backpack or hotkey bar. Once you’re holding it, click or tap to use it. This will then show a message on your screen telling you what buff or debuff you randomly got.
