Let’s see what’s left to harvest from my summer garden midepptember. Look what I found in this little tomato. A nice little caterpillar, which at the beginning of the season would have made me sad, but it’s the end, so it’s okay. And we’ll go ahead and give this to our little chicky here who’s out and about. I did get some peppers, but some of them are turning black, so I don’t know why. I’ll probably compost these, but I didn’t realize how many I had going. But we’ve got some peppers, a little bit of lettuce for my tomato sandwiches. I’m going to have our last little green beans. So much parsley. I still have so much parsley growing. We also have fresh basil still growing. Also, we have lemon balm still growing. And I found two more peppers. And just a few little wild flowers that are still blooming, which I love. And I would say not too bad for some of these seeds being started all the way back in February. And I am doing some fall gardening, too. So, I will keep you guys posted on what we have growing.

They turn black because it's still growing and changing colors.
they're not turning black, that muddy grey color is them transitioning to red. depending on the species allowing them to mature can affect the flavor and heat level iirc. if they were turning truly black, you'd feel them getting more delicate and drying out. they're healthy and shiny so they're just maturing
What a basket😊
