  2. onions and garlic are good companions: When the peppers are growing strongest, you harvest the onions and give the peppers more space.

  3. Whoa, definitely no. Tomatoes and peppers should not be planted close together. I am usually planting peppers on the bed one over from tomatoes on the southside.

  4. is this for all pepper plants or green peppers only? I'm more interested in banana peppers and hot peppers

  5. Thank you. I read about companion plants for peppers. I have a tiny, 6’ x5’ enclosed area for my container plants.

  6. I got to say no on tomatoes & oregano & was cilantro #11 because that is much higher on my list… here is why:
TOMATOES 🍅; Over watering tomatoes can be a problem & no 1 likes split tomatoes. I recommend tomatoes be grow in their own area.
OREGANO; This plant needs to be in a container or U will be digging it out or your garden because it spreads like crazy.
Note I am not disregarding the benifits of these plants…
CILANTRO; grows early & often, makes a great ground cover, U can lay it down very easy so sprinklers work & it will rebound fast, basically I grow it like grass all over my garden beds & I trim or pluck it out of my way as I introduce the pepper plants in the garden. I have been growing things for decades in So Cal & in the Pacific N/W & in So Cal I have had Lady Bugs <on cilantro> & Green Lace Wings <on raspberries> propagate on them, the raspberries had 10's of thousands maybe 100's of thousand Lace Wings & for a novice gardener that is thrilling to see.
