Zone 9b. This live oak was planted around 2008. I moved in about two years ago and I removed the watering bag about a year ago. About six months ago, i learned about girdling roots and cut one (not pictured). Today I went further, finding tons of rocks wedged all the way under the tree. I removed all the dirt, fabric, and rocks. I put some new dirt back in, only in the deep wedges going under the tree. Any advice on keeping this tree healthy and growing? Thanks!

You can see there’s one rock that is wedged too deep into the wood that I left alone. Should I break into the wood to release it, or let it get grown over?
