I love planting native things because I don't need to take care of them much and I get allllll the pollinators in the neighborhood! >:) Our city sprays for mosquitoes constantly so I'm glad to see I've got some visitors. I love fuzzy bumble butts the most 💕 Just wanted to share some bug buddies to people who appreciate it!

Amazing! Love all the diversity. Where are you located?

My town also constantly sprays for mosquitos. I still get lots of pollinator visits but I get mad every time I hear the spray truck come round. (Angrily shakes fist). It seems to pretty much do nothing for the danged mosquitos but I do think I see a decline in pollinators for a day or so after. (Maybe in my head). I’ll usually go out with my hose and rinse everything off the next morning. I don’t know that it’s doing anything other than make me feel better but what can you do? I’m told by the city that it’s “a natural product that just targets mosquitoes and it dissipates after 30 minutes” and “we spray at dusk to avoid harming pollinators”. Sure dude.

    Your garden is beautiful.

No such thing as too much mistflower imo. Can’t get enough of them. Before we moved i had them surrounding the entire house. Looked gorgeous this time of year. Hope the folks that moved in let them bloom.

Uprooted some and put them in pots for transplanting when we moved, and as luck would have it they also self seeded into a pot i have a wild indigo growing in.

I’ve never seen butterflies like the ones in your first photo! What are they?

Looks like the wildlife have it firmly under control to me!
