Found a hole in my lawn. Was able to easily shove this shovel down about 5 feet. It’s not soggy around the hole

Flat top shovel weed. Highly invasive. You gotta take it out by the root or it will keep coming back.

I lost a shovel down a sink hole like
That. Filled it with bentonite and forgot about it. Till one winter we had a deep frost. And that fooking shove started sprouting out of the ground. Remember I said I “forgot about it” earlier….

If you’re lucky, it’s an old tile drain that cracked and just needs replaced. It’s allowed surface water to trickle down to the drain pipe, eroding the hole. If that’s a normal shovel, you’re out of luck cause that’s a deep drain line to dig up 😩

I believe it’s the business end of a shovel.

I have the same thing. No ceptic tanks in my area so I have no idea what it is. If you ever figure it out let me know.
