Another one bites the dust.
I cannot understand what pathogen is this ?
Every now and then plants just suddenly turn dark and the inside is slightly musky / stinky.

Roos were quite dry so not a root rot thing.

    Likely rot. Roots don’t have to show issues for there to be rot. Propagated cuttings can easily rot without having any roots for example.

    Tough to know specifics in this case, but likely that the roots dried out enough at some point that they effectively were unable to take in water when the plant was provided water.
