Looking for advice on how fall aster should look when healthy. Leaves have been drying out and dying back on the inside of the plant but it remains green and blooming on the top. New to this plant species and recently planted it in late September. Daily watered for the first couple weeks and have watered as needed since to help with its establishment in its new home.
Any help or thoughts are welcomed!

That is some BRIGHT Sun. How much sun does it get?
What’s “as needed”? I would water at least every 2 or 3 days. And deeply
if we still don’t get any rain and they’re looking crispy i’d water them once a week at least, but for it being newly planted in this particularly dry fall i think it looks pretty good. they can spread and get pretty bushy after a while
Looks fine 🤷‍♂️ It’ll die back soon and perk up in spring.
