If you found it in the dumpster, first thing is to aaaaalways look for pests. It could be the reason the previous owner tossed it. Definitely separate from your other plants for a couple of weeks. Thrips are hard to see and can cause yellowing of leaves. Money plants are also very finicky, in my history at least!

That particular yellowing is sun burnt. Direct sun light was too harsh on it.
