I've had this English lavender plant outside on my balcony and I fear it's a goner. Any suggestions? Can I prune these dead-looking stems or will that likely just make it worse?
Extra info: The pot has drainage. During the summer my balcony gets very hot so I water it every few days (generally enough water to where I see it pooling underneath). During winter I water it maybe like once per week. The balcony is south-facing so it gets a lot of sun, probably 6+ per day.

That is dead. Sorry for your loss 🙏
Remove the whole plant and roots. Try again next season with a new plant.
I think I watered my lavender twice this summer, it gets full sun in the AZ desert. I planted it bare root in my heavy clay based but also rocky soil. Try it with a little more neglect next time.
Sorry for your loss ❤️

That plant couldn’t be any more dead than in that there photo
