It's lovely! Great job! I think for anyone outside your region it should be noted that there are definitely climates and conditions that require daily watering. It would come down to understanding the needs of your area etc. For example: I have a garden of grow bags and containers because I rent space and can't put a permanent garden in, and I am in high desert with near constant hot winds. So, if I don't water everyday, and sometimes a little extra here and there in the hottest season, nothing will live. Anyway, British Isles are a very different ball of wax. But, it's a beautiful space you all have created! 🤙
I just wondering, what size is this allotment? She is done very well ❤
It's beautiful ❤❤
I love her! … She is so sweet and funny.. Well done Donna! You are an absolute inspiration❤
Wow, beautiful!
She is great! She made a beautiful space. I’d love to see a follow up next year. ❤
Absolutely stunning! Very inspirational 🫶🏻🙏🏻for sharing
Does anyone know what that interesting vine was, growing on the arch that was framing the shot for most of the video? Is that a hops vine? Or something else? It's so lovely with the little lantern-like dangly bits.
If you plant it, it will grow. And even if you didn't plant it, it will grow. Do nothing and your plot will be overgrown. Why are growing plants a surprise? Bizarre.
What an amazing first season 🎉🤩 Good luck for next season 👏👏🇬🇧
She made a gorgeous space there. And she's so right, the satisfaction of growing your own anything. I can't even imagine not having a huge garden. So grateful.
Thank you. 🙂
Add mycellium fungi to the soil; it will help spread moisture and nutrients to all the plants by creating a bigger 'root ball'.
The article says this :
Mycorrhizal fungi form networks with plant roots that transfer water,
Mycelium is the vegetative, underground network of a fungus, made of thread-like filaments called hyphae. It is the main body of the fungus, from which mushrooms (the fruiting bodies) emerge. Mycelium plays a vital role in ecosystems by decomposing organic matter, recycling nutrients, and forming symbiotic relationships with plants, often referred to as the "wood wide web" for its role in connecting trees and plants to share nutrients and information.
Wow. What a beautiful and inspiring garden. The aesthetic is so warm and relaxing. I'm a fruit and veg grower, but could do with upping my flower game to attract more pollinators. Donna, if you read this, would you be able to list some of the flowers you're growing? X
Awesome, Hugh – lovely Lady, lovely inspiration, awesome garden! XxxX
Beautiful and productive season to be sure.
How big an area is an allotment?
This is wonderful. Loving the focus on relatable gardens Huw! Excellent job Donna.
