Anyone know what kind of tomatoes these are? They’re pretty sweet in flavor. Also the black color is really cool and I want more of them 🙂 The leaves are very different from other tomatoes, but the fruit sure does taste like em

Deadly Nightshade?
I’m not a reliable responder but my Apple photos think that’s Nightshade, and it can be toxic.

The foliage is not tomato foliage
Black nightshade
This has got to be a troll, right?
American nightshade.
Uh oh

I have grown what are called black currant tomatoes which are tiny and dark, but they grow in clusters like cherry tomatoes. This is nightshade..
Can you come back and update us in the morning?… if you can
This is American Night Shade.
If you want to grow some small, very dark tomatoes next season, we can ship you some *Helsing Junction Blue*.
Just reach out.

This is black nightshade. It isn’t deadly. But beware of belladonna, which looks similar.
It’ll be the last thing you eat.
I’ve seen some of tomatoes looks like these. They are bitter than other tomatoes if they are getting ripped.
Def nightshade of some sort. Since you didn’t plant it, you can’t be sure of what it is. I would not eat those.
Nightshade or ketchup berries
Solanum nigrum
100% Solanum nigrum complex. ripe fruit are edible and tasty, very easy to identify its a member of nigrum by the white flowers and bunched fruit, hard to identify its exact species. all have edible fruit, the toxicity seems to be a long established myth by confusion with other nightshades, but its hard to misidentify nigrum.
do be careful about tasting plants you dont know though, there are very poisonous members of the nightshade family.

Here ^. Black nightshade is perfectly edible and apparently delicious. – I have been wanting to try but the berries on the volunteers in my garden get eaten by wildlife before I can!
