We live off-grid on an island in Malaysia, so we aim to grow as much food as we need. We have a raised bed garden and also a hydroponics garden, both fenced, so the sheep cannot raid them. Today I picked some veg for a salad lunch.
Hi, it’s nearly lunchtime, so I’ve just been down to the garden to get some food. And I’ll show you what I picked today. I got some lettuce from the hydroponics. And I got a cucumber from the hydroponics. and some basil leaves and some mint leaves. And then over in the vegetable garden, I got some very young four-wing beans, which are very nice in salad. If they’re very young, you can have them in a salad. And if they’re a bit bigger, you need to cook them. So, that’ll be good for the salad. And then here we’ve got Brazilian spinach which will go towards tonight’s dinner.
