Wrigglers in my fish tank – totally different from the usual detritus worms I see, and completely different from the mosquito/midge larvae I feed my fish in the summer from my mini container ponds? Any ideas? By the way, I'm in the North East of the UK 👍 Many thanks in advance! 🙂

I dare say that may be a small dragonfly nymph… Going by the shape and I think I see some ventral undulation. Though not an expert, saw a dragonfly video the other day. It could be a damsel fly nymph also. I hear they are quite predatory to vertebrae.
Some kind of midge pupa.
Water beetle larva maybe.
I think its a midge fly pupa
Phantom midge larva?
