Hi Folks,

No one seems to have a good answer for this. At the bottom of the garden there is a severe slope (approx 0.7m drop over 2.25m)

We won't be able to cut the grass when older so it needs to be replaced with something that needs minimal or no maintenance.

We don't really want to use artificial grass so any other ideas would be gratefully received.

Thanks

Wild flowers, wild flowers and more wild flowers.

Retaining wall and pavers. Or just throw some pine straw down and call it a day

Does this ditch fill with water when it rains? If so, a rain garden. Basically, plants that can handle wet feet.

If it’s a dry area, ornamental grasses (I love purple muhly) for sun and sedges if it’s shady. Both types of plants are interesting year-round and can handle getting hit with a weed whacker or lawn mower.

Pollinator garden would be nice but may bother the dogs race track. Maybe leave the path and plant on the inside of it.
