The Place for Plants, in East Bergholt, first announced they were closing in August, after 30 years.
Now, owners have announced they will shut the doors for the final time on Friday, October 24.
It was first opened in 1995 by Rupert and Sara Eley, in the grounds of their family home, with the garden centre now stretching 20 acres within the walled garden.

When they announced the closure of the garden centre, Mrs Eley said they were “retiring” instead of closing, as they will still be hosting events such as the Macmillan Coffee mornings, wreath workshops, and home-grown Christmas Trees.
She also touched on how they had “run out of energy” because of how physical it can be, with Mrs Eley now looking forward to riding her horses.

Although the garden centre is closing, a local business is looking to move into the site.
She Grows Veg, a seed and horticulture retailer, currently based in Capel St Mary, is set to move the business to East Bergholt after signing a lease with Rupert and Sara Eley.
She Grows Veg will not be customer-facing, but customers will be able to order seeds and other items online.
