I’ve had this plant for 2 years. At one point when I moved out I left it at my dad’s house for a couple weeks. There was a big heatwave and it didn’t get the water it needed for it so a lot of the leaves have suffered. I tried cutting some and some more leaves have popped up fine. I’m wandering if I cut the newer leaves off and propagate them for a fresh plant. I just don’t want to do it wrong and lose the plant. It lives outside just under my canopy and would be in direct sunlight for half the day and Indirect for the other half

You can definitely cut it and propagate it (make sure you cut below a healthy node on stem), or just prune off the dead stuff and let it do it’s thing.
Monstera deliciousa, btw
You can cut and propagate. I did the same. On the right is the original plant. Basically I cut off the top under a node with a root or two and replanted, like two months ago. It’s the rainy season here so they’re doing well.
