Is this also a hoya carnosa krimson queen just inner veragated? Would there be any problems putting them in the same pot?

Kinda, yeah. Krimson queen is outer variegated and krimson princess is inner variegated. Both are carnosa. You can pot them up together.

Its a hoya rubra or “krimson princess”. You could put them in a pot together. They are generally the same care. They do like a lot of light, and they like to dry out in between waterings. They are really pretty.

Every outer variegated H. carnosa is *not* “Krimson Queen”, and every inner variegated H. carnosa is *not* “Krimson Princess”.

KRIMSON QUEEN (written in all caps to designate it as a trade name) is an expired trademarked trade name that was used to sell the H. carnosa ‘Tricolor’ cultivar.

KRIMSON PRINCESS is an expired trademarked trade name that was used to sell the H. carnosa ‘Rubra’ cultivar.

Those are two specific cultivars from Barnell Cobia that have very specific characteristics that make them said cultivars. Hoya carnosa variegated cultigens have been grown for almost 200 years now, there are several of them that are not ‘Tricolor’ and ‘Rubra’ within circulation.

The plant in this post does indeed appear to be Hoya carnosa ‘Rubra’. The ‘Rubra’ cultivar originates from a branch mutation on ‘Tricolor’ and is characterized by inner variegation, colorful emergent new growth, larger diameter stems than the ‘Exotica’ cultivar (which is another, similar inner variegated cultivar), red/pink/purple hues on the stems and petioles, and red/pink/purple hues on the peduncles, pedicels, and sepals/calyx. Even with this being said, KRIMSON PRINCESS is an expired trademark, not a common name for any/all inner variegated H. carnosa, and shouldn’t really be used as it causes a tremendous amount of confusion specifically among newcomers. I realize that this comment will do little to change that, but I’m just doing what I can to put forth the most accurate information.🙂

I will attach some photos of Cobia’s patent for the ‘Rubra’ cultivar below.

It’s commonly known as “hoya krimson princess” but all the hardcore hoya heads call it hoya carnosa inner variegated lol. You can Pot them together or don’t. But very pretty colors ❤️🌸
