They grow leggy like this in search of more light

This is called etiolation. It’s when a plant stretches to reach the light because it’s too far away. If you can increase the light it’s getting, you’ll see tighter internodal spacing and larger leaves.

Bestie, she is screaming crying throwing up begging you to put her closer to a window

I would google large form vs small form monstera deliciosa and compare yours

More light! It’ll give her much more variegation in her beautiful leaves too! I see those speckles trying to shine through 😍🤞🏼🥰

No . You have no loght for tjat thing. That is what they grow towards. If its too far away or not therr at all its leggy and looks like it’s reaching.

Bro you put it on a stick why did you expect. If you’ve ever seen them in the wild you will see them climb 200ft right up a tree

I disagree with the other comments here. Small form/borsigiana monstera have a wider internodal spacing even when you get them plenty of light, even if they are growing in full sun outside. It’s possible you also have some etiolation, but if this is a small form don’t expect it to ever look like the larger form with tightly packed internodes. I know someone with an albo and she’s constantly having to chop it because it grows up a pole in less than a year. It gets a lot of light but that seems to just make it grow faster not more compactly…

One way to tell if it’s getting enough light is to see if the leaves are maturing and note how quickly it’s putting out new leaves. Your leaves were increasing in size and number of fenestrations until the past 2 leaves, so it was probably getting sufficient light until then. If it’s putting out new leaves frequently that’s also a good sign

I have two, both are like this, lack of proper lighting, unfortunately until I move they will be like this.

So much good info. Op not sure where you’re at, I’m in Az. I understand windows burning plants!

I do have monstera in east window because this house is stupid and has a small bathroom window on the south, the only window on my south! 😔
Because of this I also have grow lights up.

I have a daughter in Tx. She also has no problem with hers outside in full blazing sun. The difference here is, next to no humidity. Which is why I believe windows burn easily here. Just a thought.

I do use humidifiers, cool mist. It’s also an option WITH helping it acclimate to more window time.

Is yours an albo? I have four monsteras in the same spot and my albo is the only leggy one.
