On Saturday, Sept. 20, the team behind the Rockland Community Garden, an entirely volunteer driven organization, held an open house.
Held from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the site of the community garden, visitors received information about the history and launch of the Rockland Community Garden, tips on gardening and how to become a member. Wild Fauna Nature and Play was also on-site hosting free activities for kids, and people also have the chance to make their very own bouquet with flowers grown from the community garden. Residents also enjoyed tours and were able to ask the founders of the community garden some questions.
About the Rockland Community Garden

The Rockland Community Garden also serves as a community hub to bring together those who love gardening, enjoy being outside and want to learn the benefits it has to health and the environment.
The Rockland Community Garden is located at 2637 Raymond Street, in the southeast section of Patricia Charron Park, closest to Patricia Street.
