First time homeowner here, my wife and I bought a cabin back in the spring that we’ve been renovating into our full-time home. We got a new well put in and they were able to connect it to the water line from the old well. We’re currently taking up the rotting deck as our last big project before winter and discovered that the waterline from the well is sitting on the surface and not buried at all where it sat under the deck. Is this problematic? We live in Minnesota and I am worried about things freezing. Should we be burying this?

Looks like the electrical feed for a well pump.
did the previous owners winter there? I cant believe that wouldnt burst if it actually had water in it during a Minnesota winter.
Do you have constant power? There’s those thermal strips you can wrap to keep the pipe warm. I’d encase the pipe with some extra ibsoltuon just to be safe.
But there are short term solutions until you can fully encase the pipe in the ground for long term solution.
Yeah that’s electrical conduit.
My question has been answered, it is not the waterline rather it is the conduit for electrical lines. Thanks, yall!
