I've been growing some of these for years no problem, suddenly several of them are shriveling up, no change in care. I water when the dirt is thoroughly dry, use mosquito bits to treat for fungus gnats. Has anyone else been through something similar? I'm devastated.

I find when the pearls are intermittently shrivelled, it’s usually pests. Likely spider mites in your case. If it was water/light/soil problem, the pearls die off in sections, you don’t get strands with random healthy/bad pearls. Sorry I don’t have advice for mites. I ended throwing mine out that had mites 😩

Have you checked for other pests? Mine looked kind of like this when it had thrips

  3. I’m dealing with the same issue myself right now. Haven’t figured out why yet. I suspect pests.
