There’s Lululemon in there. There’s other, you know, sporting attire things. And I know Dick’s has a lot of, you know, all of the other things you need for sports. So, it would be perfect,” mall shopper Lorea Ibarlucea said.The mall submitted a redevelopment proposal to the City of Palm Beach Gardens in the summer for the 140,000-square-foot project.Along with selling sports equipment, it would offer activities in store, like rock climbing walls, batting cages, golf bays, and virtual reality sports.“We love the store. I’ve got three kids. We shop there all the time. We go to the one on Southern. This might be a little more convenient. Now that you mentioned that—that’s a different story. That’s amazing. That would be fun. You know, I’m sure some families would want to go around, for those sporty people, they could just stay in that area while everyone else just wanders around the mall,” Ibarlucea said.That expansion would also add 47,000 square feet to the mall for additional retail space, but it would reduce the number of parking spaces.But that’s not a deal breaker for shoppers WPBF 25 News spoke to.“I would certainly come to Dick’s.
