It’s the end of an era for Franklinton-based plant and flower fans.
According to owner Sarah Dixon, Jewelweed Flower & Plant Shop will close its doors at the end of October. It’s located at 391 W. Rich St. in Franklinton.
“At this time the closure is permanent as we look forward to a new chapter in the floral hospitality industry,” Dixon told 614Now.

It’s not currently clear why Jewelweed is closing.
The boutique plant and flower shop is known for its creation of “wild and whimsical florals & designs” that were available as one-off bouquets, or for weddings and other events.
Jewelweed originally opened in 2016, and relocated to its current location in Franklinton in 2020. The store is currently undergoing a liquidation sale, where all merchandise is 50-70 percent off. The sale will run until Oct. 29.
