This sprout grew on its own. The leaves started rotting and I had to pull them off. The main plant is perfectly fine, as is the large leaf near the sprout. Small orange bugs are also crawling onto the pot. I couldn't figure out what they are, but they're coming from this sprout. What should I do? Has anyone else encountered this problem?

The plant is watering about once a week when the soil dries out. It used to sit on the windowsill, but I moved it out now. It doesn't get any direct sunlight. It just sits there in the room.

If it’s not getting the same amount of sunlight, it doesn’t need to be watered as frequently. Once a month is too much for a snake plant any way. They like to dry out more than most plants would.

That, my friend, is one hell of a mite infestation, and nothing else. Trust me!

Watering once a week is way too much for this, unless its crazy root bound/hydrophobic.

Take care of pests and stop watering so much.
