Today I went to a well-stocked exotic plant shop for other reasons. But these little ones wowed me and they were on offer! I couldn't resist š and the white flower! I have never had these plants but I have often read this sub because I was very curious about them. From what I can understand they are very hydrated because I don't see any wrinkles. Can you give me some advice please to make them live better?

Heya! Youāre right, they donāt need water any time soon:) First of all you should repot them as soon as possible. The potting mix should be inorganic and gritty. When thereās too much organic material in the mix it will stay damp for a long time after watering and this can easily lead to root rot. Inorganic material, on the other hand, allows moisture to evaporate faster and helps the roots to breathe (they can struggle if the soil is too dense / compact). The mix can consists of pumice, perlite, zeolite and gravel (80-90%) and a little bit of cactus soil (10-20%). Other inorganic gritty ingredients can be mixed in as well. Secondly – provide lots and lots of light, as lithops love it. Keep them by the window, supplement natural sunlight with grow lights if necessary. Finally, be very careful with watering – it is better to underwater rather than overwater! Lithops require water very occasionally, a few times a year. They should not be watered when they are splitting, as the new āinnerā leaves are absorbing all the water they need from the old āouterā leaves. Check this diagram out for approximate guidance. Good luck:)
