I inherited a Christmas Cactus from my grandmother. It's at least 60 years old. I had it for years and it thrived just fine. I have always kept it in indirect light, watered once a week, unless the soil was still moist, and it bloomed every year. I live in Montana so we definitely lose light during the winters, but it has always done just fine. Last year it abruptly dropped about 75% of it's leaves. I gently pulled it from the pot and checked its roots, which were healthy, but a lot less substantial than I expected for such an old plant. I repotted it with a fresh mix of potting soil, leca, and coconut/orchid bark. I started watering it more substantially so the roots would grow deeper (in a well draining pot).

It has been almost another year, and while the plant has stopped dropping leaves for the most part, I still see some on the floor every now and then. It is growing new leaves, sort of, but it doesn't really seem to be gaining any ground. This plant is VERY sentimental and I want to make sure it comes back 100%. Any ideas on what could be going on? Am I overwatering now? I am so worried!
