I picked up this flf from Lowe’s so I can rehab it. I love helping plants be beautiful again.

A little history. I got this plant in August. It was dry, the soil was hard. It only had 4 or 5 leaves on top. I had it quarantined in my bathroom for 3 weeks. It was doing fine. No new growth but no leaves dropping either. I moved it out and put it under grow lights. I was afraid it wasn’t bright enough so on a whim I decided to move it outside under my back patio. It popped out 2 perfect leaves in less than 2 weeks. Then for some stupid reason I notched the trunk😖 I really wasn’t thinking. I just let it heal and was hoping it would bounce back. Of course it stopped putting out leaves but yesterday I noticed a new leaf had popped out and a 2nd one is starting to grow. The night temp was going to be below 60 one night so I moved it to the laundry room before the 2 new leaves started growing. Right in front of my sliding glass door. I have also been fertilizing it just a little with Pennington All-Purpose Plant Food.

What would you do? Should I chop or leave it? Is it too late now, maybe I should wait for spring? Idk

Thank you for taking the time to read this 🌿

I would chop the top off and put in water to root. The FLF trunk will sprout leaves and now you have 2 healthy plants. It’s sounds like you’re doing everything right.
