These blanket flowers were grown from seed from Northern Wildflowers this spring. They did not need cold stratification and had a high germination rate. The flowers are still beautiful in October and are covered in common eastern bumble bees.

    I love blanket flower! Granted, they aren’t really native to my region (Kentucky) but they’re such a reliable bloomer from spring through fall that they give the bees something to eat during season transitions

    I got some blanket flower seed for next year. Good to see they stay colorful this late into the year.
