A blundering binman has knocked down a garden wall. The bin lorry inflicted the damage at the junction of East Terrace and Johnson Place, in Fegg Hayes.
It happened on Thursday 9 October. Now Stoke-on-Trent City Council has confirmed one of its bin lorries was to blame.
A council spokesman said: “A council bin wagon hit a resident’s garden wall whilst manoeuvring the vehicle. We can confirm this was not at speed; however, the weight of the vehicle did knock down the wall. Thankfully, no-one was injured, and the crew was able to notify the resident and make the necessary arrangements for support. Our highways team secured the site and is in the process of sourcing the repair work contractor.”
