SLEEPY HOLLOW – A new Serenity Garden has opened at Phelps Hospital in Sleepy Hollow, designed to be a therapeutic space designed to support mental health, wellness and rejuvenation for patients, visitors and staff.

Hospital officials say the garden reflects its commitment to holistic healing, providing a tranquil oasis on its campus.

Westchester County Executive Ken Jenkins said that healing comes in many forms.

“The environment around us can be just as important in the recovery as the treatment itself. This garden is going to stand as a living tribute and symbol for that belief,” he said.

The therapeutic gardens incorporates plants native to the area, a pavilion with a slatted roof that adjusts to sunlight and airflow, a calming water feature, benches and ambient lighting.
