Plus, our 12 Firepower Nandinas arrived early, adding even more color and texture to the front yard. Step by step, this house is feeling more like home.

[Music] In part 19 of the backyard vow, we’re finally cleaning up our lines by painting the foundation. In last week’s video, you saw us prep the area with landscape fabric and fresh edging. And now it’s time for the transformation. The foundation has been a bit of an eyesore, showing not just overspray from when we painted the house, but also layers of colors from past lives. Using a self priming paint made from masonry stucco and brick, we were able to cover everything. It was such an easy process and the payoff feels huge. The house looks instantly more finished. And as a bonus, our 12 firepower and arrived earlier than expected. Planting these starters adds even more interest to the front of the house. They perfectly complement the viburniums and are already showing off their fiery red fall color. With every project, we’re feeling more connected to this home and the life we’re building together. Follow along to see what we take on next.
