  1. The word blessed assumes that God did something. God did nothing you did. Humans are so much more greater than God because they exist. Use the correct term.

  2. Wish I could put an ! on my like. This is the heart of this country – we help and care for eachother. Good food is essential.

  3. Love your videos! Keep up the great work. I am moving to a new house with several acres in southern Michigan in about two weeks. I want to do this exact thing next year with the new garden. I plan to plant an area with apples, peaches, cherries, and possibly more. I really want to know who you recommend buying from. I will live within a few hours of you and will be willing to travel for quality trees.

  4. I’m the manager at a new community garden in Southern Maine. We support two soup kitchens in our town and also have our own free produce program every week. This year we have donated over 1500 pounds of food to feed our community.

  5. This is why I follow you, watch your video and buy your seeds. You are one of the most decent and kind YouTubers and all around very nice man.

  6. Hi Luke! I loved the video.I had a fantastic growing season this summer, and wanted to share my crops with people from my church. I posted on our website that members could come and glean my tomatoes in September for two weeks. I had no takers! I wish I would have thought about soup kitchens and food banks.Next year I will donate to them. I got rid of my last tomatoes yesterday, but my peppers are still going strong.Maybe before I get rid of the plants I will donate what is left. Thanks for what you do,you are an inspiration.

  7. Donating to a local soup kitchen, mission or food bank is a great idea for gardeners who have extra vegetables still in their gardens. It reminds me of the classic children’s story ‘Stone Soup’ ❤ 🥣

  8. I have let friends come over with their children and help me clean out the garden and take whatever is left home. I never thought of a soup kitchen. Great idea and awesome video!

  9. I donated over 5 pounds of peaches and 4 pounds of bell peppers to my local foos pantry. It was very rewarding

  10. I thought the same as you about my winter squash but look closely for pin holes. I had a giant 9 pound Candy Roaster squash with 15 tiny pinholes I didn't notice until this month. It turned out to be pickleworms. I cut it off the vine and brought it in to the greenhouse and put it on a potting bench and the next day there was green frass on the bench and liquid oozing out of one of the holes. So squash vine borers are not the only disgusting pest to cucurbits. Luckily if they haven't eaten too much of the fruit you can cut out where they burrowed in to the squash and eat the rest. I'm bummed out that I had to harvest before it was much more ripe though.

This summer I gave a huge bunch of Merlin and Party Time cucumbers and Chinese long beans to a food bank for battered women's shelters. This video has prompted me to make another trip. This time I'll bring tomatoes which are still producing and I have two 10 inch by 20 inch trays filled with them. Thanks for the reminder.

  11. Challenge accepted. My garden in Washington state is over for this year. The rainy season is starting. I donate to the Tenino food bank every paycheck. But I am inspired by your video. Next year, will be adding 3 more rows of garden. Thank you for the inspiration.

  12. I had a great onion year so I gave a box of around 50 nice white, red, and yellow onions to our church pantry.👍🏻
Before I retired we had a free garden goods area in each lunchroom and I usually had something to bring in.

  13. This is my worst harvest. My zucchini jusr produced 4 fruit and niw the leaves got hit with frost. I hope to have tomatoes ,to donate as previous years, to local food bank.
